Path patterns
Syntax
Section titled “Syntax”- A pattern must start with
/. - It must not contain whitespace.
*is allowed only as the last character. There is no regex and no**.
A pattern without * is an exact match. A pattern ending in * is a prefix match on whatever
comes before the *.
Matching rules
Section titled “Matching rules”- A trailing
/is ignored on both the pattern and the path, except for/itself. - Matching is case-sensitive.
- Matching uses decoded paths, so non-ASCII patterns work as typed:
/blog/café/*matches a request for/blog/caf%C3%A9/x. A path with a malformed percent-escape is matched as-is. /blog/*matches/blog/xand/blog/a/b, but not/blog. Add/blogas well to include it./blog*(no slash before the star) also matches/blogroll.- If any exclude pattern matches, the snippet is not output, even if an include pattern matches.
- Nothing is ever output on
/_emdash/admin paths.
